Red/Black stripe belt form

 

Red belts with black stripe must learn this form in order to advance to Black Belt. The Black belt signifies the student is no longer afraid of the dark. The "dark" represents any obstacles that the student may be confronted with throughout their continued training and their life. The student has learned the techniques of Taekwondo and how to control them. In addition, they have come to live by the Tenets of Taekwondo.

 

Ready Position

  1. Step forward with left foot into back stance with a double reverse outside block.
  2. Step out into left foot forward front stance with right reverse middle punch.
  3. Jumping double front snap kick left leg high with a YELL! landing left foot forward front stance with left inside block, followed by right reverse middle punch then left middle punch.
  4. Step forward into right foot forward front stance with right hand middle punch.
  5. Pivot on right foot counterclockwise 90° into a rear facing front stance (right leg is bent, and you are facing your left leg) with a right hand mountain block and left hand down block.
  6. Pivot on both feet into a forward facing front stance and pull left fist into right shoulder while executing a right hand upper cut.
  7. Left foot step back in front of the right foot into an X stance and turn right 180° then step out with right foot into rear facing front stance (left leg bent and you are facing right leg) with a left hand mountain block and right hand down block.
  8. Pivot on both feet into a forward facing front stance and pull right fist into left shoulder while executing a left hand upper cut.
  9. Pivot on left foot counterclockwise 90° into a left foot forward back stance with twin knife hand middle block.
  10. Step out with left foot into front stance reverse middle punch.
  11. Right leg front snap kick stepping back down behind into a left foot forward walking stance, then step back into right leg forward walking stance then finally pulling the right leg back into a tiger stance  with a right hand palm block across.
  12. Turn 90° left into a right foot back backstance with a twin knifehand middle block.
  13. From the same stance execute a left leg front snap kick then step into a left foot forward front stance with a reverse middle punch.
  14. Step back into a left foot forward tiger stance with a left hand palm block across.
  15. Turn right 180° into right foot forward backstance, right hand twin knifehand middle block.
  16. From the same stance execute a right leg front snap kick then step into a right foot forward front stance with a reverse middle punch.
  17. Step back into a right foot forward tiger stance with a right hand palm block across.
  18. Turn 90° Right into a back stance with a double down block (right hand low in front, left hand over solar-plexus).
  19. Execute a left leg front snap kick waist high then without setting down the left leg, execute a right leg jump front snap kick head high.Land in a right foot foward front stance and execute a right hand inside block followed by a double middle punch, left then right.
  20. Pivot on front right foot counterclockwise 90° into left foot forward back stance with a left hand single knifehand block.
  21. Step out into left foot forward front stance with a right elbow strike across, then right hand backfist strike, then left hand middle punch.
  22. Turn right 180° into right foot forward back stance with a right hand single knifehand block.
  23. Step out into right foot forward front stance with a left elbow strike across, then left hand backfist strike, then right hand middle punch.

Return to ready position.
