Blue belt form

 

Blue belts must learn this form in order to advance to blue belt with red stripe. The blue belt signifies that the student's knowledge of Taekwondo is reaching new heights like a small sapling that has grown into a tree towering into the sky.

 

Ready Position

  1. Turn left 90º into front stance left foot forward with left hand down block.
  2. Step back with left foot into shoulder width stance with left foot still facing the left with left hand hammer fist.  Right foot should face the original front direction.
  3. Turn right 180º into front stance right foot forward with right hand down block.
  4. Step back with right foot into shoulder width stance with right foot still facing the right with right hand hammer fist.  Left foot should face the original front direction.
  5. Step forward into front stance left foot forward with left hand inside block followed by another right hand inside block.
  6. Step forward with a right leg front snap kick into a front stance right foot forward and right hand back fist followed by a left hand inside block.
  7. Step forward with a left leg front snap kick into a front stance left foot forward and left hand back fist followed by a right hand inside block.
  8. Step forward with into right foot forward front stance with a right hand back fist.
  9. Pivot on right foot counterclockwise 90º into left foot forward back stance with a left hand single knife hand block.
  10. Step forward into right foot forward front stance with right elbow strike across. Support right fist in palm of left hand.  Do not close or grip the left hand around right fist.
  11. Turn right with right foot 180º into a right foot forward back stance with right hand single knife hand block.
  12. Step forward into left foot forward front stance with left elbow strike across. Support left fist in palm of right hand.  Do not close or grip the right hand around left fist.
  13. Turn left 90º into left foot forward front stance with left hand down block followed by right hand inside block.
  14. Step forward with right leg front snap kick into right left forward front stance with right hand down block followed by left hand inside block.
  15. Turn left 90º with left foot forward into front stance with left hand high block.
  16. Step forward with right leg side kick, right hand back fist, into right foot forward front stance with left hand elbow strike striking right hand palm.
  17. Turn right 180º into right foot forward front stance with right hand high block.
  18. Step forward with a left leg side kick, left hand back fist, into left foot forward front stance with right hand elbow strike striking left hand palm.
  19. Turn left 90º into left foot forward front stance with left hand down block followed by right hand inside block.
  20. Right leg front snap kick and lunge forward into an X stance with right hand back fist and YELL!

Return to ready position.
